Our lives now include living at one of the nicest senior communities in the USA. Rossmoor in Walnut Creek, CA. We will still travel in the RV but not full time.

Saturday Russ’s daughter, Leslie, came from Sacramento and with the help of perfect weather and and a wheelchair for Russ, we had a marvelous day. Russ has not been able to do much with a cast on these many months, so I rented a wheelchair and we were off to the Port of Oakland.  As you can see in the pictures it was the Bay area at its best and the color in January is gorgeous.

When we got there we wheeled Russ to the wharf where the ferry boat would come in and saw that it did not come in for San Francisco for an hour.  The board walk along the water there is fantastic-not quite finished- but almost, and I pushed Russ to the Waterfront Resturant.  Some of you know that Russ and I met for the second time at Scott’s and I knew that night that I was more than interested this time.

Anyway, we hung out and enjoyed the view and joined other people back at the wharf for the ferry only to find out that there was no weekend ferry.  January and February.  We just pushed the wheel chair to the car, loaded up and drove to the bridge.  Would you believe that everyone in the East Bay had the same idea.  I cannot remember in all these years such a slow go.  But it was worth it and we ate at another favorite place, The Waterfront.  We sat out in the “plastic room” with great views.

I forgot my camera.  Yet I knew which shots I wanted and pointed Leslie to them.  We almost missed sunset at Crissy Field with the Golden Gate, but we did not do too badly, I think.

We were gone for 7 hours but the “girls” were waiting for us in the motor home and no accidents!  However, the next morning I got up and walked around the bed and Izzy had left a wet trail.  I cannot  figure her out!.  But she’s still going, so to speak.
