We really liked Camden State Park except it was so hot and humid. I loved driving across the Mississippi River for the first time. We stayed in two state parks, Camden and Father Hennipen on Mille Lac Lake, one of the hugest in the country that is not a great lake.
We learned that Shadow was still afraid of lightning and thunder and were up for two hours with her. So many trees were down that we could not take the bike trail the next morning. Two nites later it came again on the 4th of July. Which was louder, the fireworks or thunder???
It took us two days to find the little coffee shop that had recently opened at Isle where Camp Father Hennipen is and I loved Joni the new owner. These little towns are so cute, and I don’t know how to get pictures that give an idea of what little looks like.
Russ said Bolinas or Stinson Beach. However, those are more like the bigger little towns. I mean population has 200, but again last nite at Knife River I counted 20 houses. I guess the town stretches further into countryside.
My cute story on Russ is that yesterday in Duluth he told me that I was candyhapped. I thot he had thot it up, but he said he only realized how appropriate it was for me as he said it. He started to say handicapped but when he said candyhapped we both started laughing.
