Our lives now include living at one of the nicest senior communities in the USA. Rossmoor in Walnut Creek, CA. We will still travel in the RV but not full time.

Did you know that Brooklyn was once its own city, not one of the boroughs of NYC?   The bus host was from there and he loved it when we drove around on his side of the bridge.      The night tour started in Times Square in front of  Olive Garden.  Can you imagine eating at an Olive Garden when some of the best Italian restaurants exist  in NYC.

Loved that first evening in NYC but was surprised by the lovely people I met. People helped us with directions and where to find the trains.  NYC has police everywhere and in the train stations there are army.  I asked a young woman how she liked serving this way and she said she was so lucky to get the assignment.  It did seem strange though, but since 9/11 NYC really is safe and cleaned up.  I was mega impressed.  When I was there at 21 it was far different.
