Our lives now include living at one of the nicest senior communities in the USA. Rossmoor in Walnut Creek, CA. We will still travel in the RV but not full time.

Ground Zero was still in the middle of a war zone so to speak.  Everything is torn up all around it and new buildings are going up and that’s  just not counting the World Trade Centers.  I was terribly touched by things I did not expect.  Walking to the entrance of the Ground Zero Park was a maze of coverings over sidewalks and buildings to protect us from building debris.  So when I suddenly realized I was at Fire Station Ladder 10, my breath caught and then we walked around the corner to the huge wall plaque and I really felt it.  Walking to the park through a maze including going through airport like security, was fascinating.  But finally we were looking at the fountains and reflecting in the building and looking up at the new World Trade Centers.  I thought about my experience of waking up in California and experiencing it on TV.  One woman told me as she pointed to a near by building that her grandson called her from his building after it happened.

I talked to my sister Kay, about it.  We wondered who would want to work in the new Centers?
