Our lives now include living at one of the nicest senior communities in the USA. Rossmoor in Walnut Creek, CA. We will still travel in the RV but not full time.

The month here at Pensacola has been mixed weather with incredibly high humidity.  Tonight it is in the 40’s, last night so warm and humid Russ sweat out the mattress.  We have had sunny days with white sands, and blue green water followed by thunder and lightning storms that shook the RV.  Rain like you could not believe.  The worst part is we cannot leave Shadow alone as she shakes, shivers and will only stay in Russ’s arms.

Have biked regularly on a nearby spit of sand that is called Johnson’s Beach, where the Gulf is on our right side going out and the wind is 25 miles per hour against us, and where the ride back the inland waterway is on our right and we cannot feel the wind.  Russ and I are not really “lay on the beach” people, so we sit on the protective wooden walkways and take pictures and say hi to everyone that passes and have wonderful views.

We have discovered that we have free passes to the YMCA  as we have a medicare silver slipper card that comes with AARP supplement.

I love the water exercise class, unlike any class in the water I have ever been in.  Never worked on individual muscles so hard in my life.

Russ likes the weights.

We have had the car and RV tuned up and bought a tire and had the tow dolly brakes replaced.  Just 1600 dollars!  But it was time and we had planned the time here for that purpose.

HAD A WONDERFUL # OF OFFERS ON THE HOUSE AND ACCEPTED A GREAT ONE OVER ASKING.  THEY ARE A MARTINEZ COUPLE -PRINCIPAL AND TEACHER IN TWO OF OUR SCHOOLS AND HAVE 2 KIDS.

THEY WROTE US A LETTER AND WE WERE JUST SO HAPPY WE COULD SELL TO THIS DELIGHTFUL FAMILY

I AM SO THRILLED FOR YOU! From newspaper reports I know they consider themselves lucky to have gotten your house. CONGRATS! I had lunch with Evie on Thursday and told her you were interested in buying @ Rossmore. She said that many of the smaller places were in awful shape and might take alot of remodeling, including replacing electric wiring. But, another friend bought a house she loves — much more expensive!

Love the pics of Johnson beach. Looks like fun!

    Love ya N
