Old Broads Love Oscars, Victor the Cat and Pink singing Over the Rainbow
My friend Nancy who you have seen before as our RV host in Concord CA in the fall, threw an Oscar Party. There was Oscar Bingo, Trivia and Popcorn and Theatre Candy in the big boxes. We did not care that some of had seen none of them, but guessed on the questions, selected the best movies and loved Ellen and the tweeted photos as well as the pizza guy. I believe the crowd, big stars and all had fun and so did we.
Now you may not know, but teachers can’t stop talking. Even with my voice, I could often not get into the conversations. However, whenever Ellen came on we listened, laughed and loved the fun sweet humor. Nancy was such a good hostess and Victor the Cat, came in and checked for food then sat at the door looking at it for 15 minutes expecting Nancy to let him out. The on going power struggle between them keep us all laughing.
Nancy has some cool decorating going on, Art Decco and modern. All creatively gathered into a Sears house kit mailed out in the 30’s or so.
We completely stopped talking for “Somewhere over the Rainbow” sung by Pink. We loved it and were touched. We also were pretty cool about Whoopie’s red shoes.
My friend Anita is in town. So good to see her.
So Victor moves through the room, checks us all out-very cool, then goes and waits.
And waits.
